PATTERN NOTE

The background of this scarf is a Brioche Rib. When working Brioche Rib, slip stitches pwise. The first several rows of the pattern are written out to get you started, after which you will just follow the charts to the end.

SPECIAL TECHNIQUE

Brioche Rib: After the initial set-up row, all rows are worked in same way: 2 stitches alternate as for regular rib, with one stitch being worked as a slipped stitch with a yo and the other stitch purling together the yo and slipped stitch of the previous row. Once you get accustomed to working Brioche Rib, it becomes second nature.
